PTE Academic Listening consists of audio and video clips which begins to play automatically only ONCE.This part lasts for 45-57 minutes and consists of 8 major sections. 3.1 Summarize Spoken Text-In this Section, student need to write a 50-70 words summaryafter you hear the audio clip. You will be given 10 minsto write your summary.3.2 Multiple choice, multiple answer-In this Section, a student needs to select multiple right options/answers after they listen to the recording. There is more than one right multiple answers.3.3 Fill in the Blanks- In this Section, the student needs to listen to recording the and type the missing words in the gaps present in the paragraph.3.4 Highlight correct summary-In this Section, the student needs to select the best and right summary option out of several possible options provided.3.5 Multiple choice, single answer-In this Section, the student needs to listen to the recording and choose the best and right option from the several possible options. Only ONE answer is right answer.3.6 Select missing wordIn this Section, the student needs to listen to the recording and replace the BEEP by the best word(s) that complete the recording.3.7 Highlight incorrect wordsIn this Section, the student needs to listen to the speaker and replace the Words in the transcript that are different from what the speaker says.3.8 Write from dictationIn this Section, student needs to listen to the recording and TYPE THE SENTENCE  at the bottom of the box.
